HALLO EVERYONE,

GUESS WHAT? M.A. W! is COMING BACK

I just wanted to let you ALL know that on the 24th of February M.A.W!'s flagship writing programme dubbed the Creative writing and Self Publishing  Format is back at Coombes Croft Library for a two hour run of the mill showcase to enable aspiring local writers and experienced ones  work on their craft effectively and self publish their work without any hinderances or extra cost.

It's a tough world out there but with grit and determination anyone can do this. I believe if anyone can muster any courage they can truly pull this off. The realisation is that some aspiring authors always think they're at a great disadvantage when starting out. That's not true.

So, if you're willing to learn about your writing in general, your genre, and become aware of other approaches as how best to deal with your writing or finished product. Then prepare to be furnished with the right information. That's because I will share what I know with you lot.

I'm not a one stop shop. But, I guess I've developed strategies to sell my work and I've garnered experience along the way and that's always helpful. So, are you guys ready to join me in order to take the next step in your writing journey and explore the various options that come with very rewarding features? Remember this everybody: the hard work starts when you have the finished product in your hand. But, how do you really get your work out there for other local authors to see including the world?

Once again come and learn the intricate details of  writing, self publishing and promoting your work. And when doing that come learn how to have fun with it. The MECHANICS of ADVENTURE WRITING will be back soon with more surprises and exciting talks. Don't miss it. And, STAY SAFE!

                                             ONE MORE MOUNTAIN TO CLIMB

 Happy New year EVERYONE

This is my first time back from the holiday festive season. I really haven't done any writing. But, I have been planning. And that's essentially the core of what I need to do in order to prepare and focus on what needs my utmost attention where my creativity or my writing work is concerned for this year.

This brings one to ask whether the flyer above indicates if there really is one more mountain to climb?

Due to a football match that took place at the Tottenham stadium on a noted date I wasn't able to pull off doing a workshop. I simply had to cancel it. This was also because of the crowds that were trying to avoid the traffic that happened on the day. So, here I am once again standing tall and ready to train  others on how to write and self-publish their work. And setting a reminder for myself that I should not do a workshop on a football date.

I had came across the song 'One more mountain to climb' while watching an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger on the telly.  I believe  as long as I am alive and healthy I have one more mountain to climb so come one come all on the 24th of February. Come have fun. And come learn something you didn't know while doing it.

STAY SAFE!

THE 16th OF DECEMBER STILL MARKS THIS SPOT!

SEASONS GREETINGS EVERYONE

Welcome to the coolest Flagship showcase event  to end the year 2023 courtesy of my  MECHANICS, CREATIVE WRITING & SELF PUBLISHING FORMAT. Now, would you like to know about the following on the marked date which is the 16th of December at Coombes Croft Library based in Tottenham?

Do you want to learn how to navigate your writing as a self-published author? And, would you like to learn to promote and pitch your writing  to others in order to  gain recognition?

Are you a self published author finding it difficult to showcase your work? Or are you one of those self published authors finding it really hard to distinguish the self publishing concept from the traditional publishing one?

Finally, are you an author finding it hard to set up a marketing plan with a strategy?

If I could learn to do all this with my first crime fiction novel SNAKE AMONGST SHADOWS I bet you can.  I really believe this particular programme under this formatted session is for YOU. And, guess what? its all FREE. Come and learn the enhanced system I use to navigate my own fiction writing. I will also use this system  in the year 2024. More importantly come and be YOURSELF.

So, come one. Come ALL.

let's laugh and unlock the DOOR.

Hey STAY SAFE!

SATURDAY  DECEMBER 16 MARKS THE SPOT AND THAT CONFIRMS THE DECIDING MOMENT. I AM GOING FOR GOLD!

The free Creative writing and Self-publishing spectacle was a winner according to some people who attended the Writing Programme. And, that's probably why management at Coombes Croft Library petitioned it should be showcased there again, Anyway, I never had a doubt in my mind whether I had a winner on my hands. But, in this business of E&E meaning Education and Edutainment one should never be cocky. What you have is a gift and you are meant to share it with those who really want to learn. Learn what they need to know in order to be true masters of their craft.

I've got some decisions to make and I've got some options to look at. The bottom line is this: Make all this work again  at Coombes Croft Library which is based in Tottenham on the High Road in London. The postcode is N17, 8AG.

The tester. The spectacle whatever YOU decide to call it has now become a classic example of what's to come and is now part of a staple included under my primary  writing course which  is  now  christened THE CREATIVE, MECHANICS of ADVENTURE WRITING FLAGSHIP PROGRAMME. So, come December 16 we get to do this again and in style too. Come one. Come ALL. And, let the games BEGIN.

I'm going for GOLD this time. That's because I've added some bits to my repertoire and there will be more guest speakers on the SHOW. Yes. People have been invited on this free programme to talk about their writing journey. I guess Saturday, December 16 marks the spot and that confirms the deciding moment. To steal the show on the day and get more bums on seats so that we can continue to bring more shows  like the coolest Masterclass on the planet. And that's M.A.W! The MECHANICS of ADVENTURE WRITING Masterclass.

I can't believe it's nearly Christmas. The holiday season is definitely around the corner.  HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

NB: In 2024 GOD WILLING there will be more exciting M.A.W! Masterclass programmes. So hang tight. Don't go anywhere. And, before I forget to say this I bumped into a female Rattlesnake fan two days ago who jokingly said to me, 'It would be criminal not to think that the Expendable PI was not a criminal. He behaves like one'.  I laughed out loud and said, 'The Rattlesnake is not a criminal. But, he thinks like one. And that's why he's dangerous.

THE EXPENDABLE PI will RETURN SOON.

THE CREATIVE WRITING  AND SELF-PUBLISHING TESTER WAS A HIT

I wasn't expecting much to happen when I walked through the library doors of Coombes Croft last  Saturday which was the 28th October 2023. I had some concerns since I knew the event wasn't promoted properly. I was not aware of much happening and I didn't see people ask or sign up for the event when I went to the library in the last few days. So, I was secretly praying for a miracle to happen  as I set up to begin this new showcase there.

Anyway, on that faithful day a woman came into the library and asked about the event and then wandered off to do her own business. As the clock ticked and as the time drew near to unveil this new product a few people walked in and took seats. They were middle aged men. And they were obviously interested in the event otherwise they wouldn't be here. When I had allowed that thought to sink in I believed that was my cue to start the show. And I did by introducing myself and what I was going to do. I simply had two hours to convince these people in the room that they could achieve the almost impossible if they were given the right tools to write their book and self- publish their own work. The event started at 1pm and ended at 3pm that day.

All in all the session not only achieved a satisfactory outcome. It was marginally considered a successful hit by certain standards. That's because the participants thought my presentation was well-prepared and well presented.  They also thought it was engaging, enlightening and exciting. The same participants also thought I should do the pilot programme again before doing it at another notable library in the borough of Haringey.

There's been some good news since then. I've just been given the go ahead by the Coombes Croft library manager to do this again. So I guess its time business picked up. This time with a proper promotion in the works. I won't take my eye off the ball this time. Remember, the aim is to get new clients for my Mechanics of  Adventure Writing mentorship programme. It sounds funny to say this. But I guess there's some truth to it. Halloween has come and gone. And I'll be damned if I don't make a positive stride with my new found resource at Coombes Croft Library.  So no more fun and games. Its time to repackage this product and get results. And, that reminds me of something.  Mac Logan the Expendable P.I and the protagonist of my SNAKE AMONGST SHADOWS book series  will soon RETURN for more mystery, action and adventure. I guess the ungodly had better watch out.

STAY SAFE!

THE CREATIVE WRITING SPECTACLE COMING SOON

My Publisher Mr Michael Williams of BIS Publications recently asked me on the phone whether I was ready to scale my brand and take it to the next level.

And I've had that same question thrown at me by another friend in the independent publishing industry business USA  Porsche Mystique Steele of the popular CEO Author Uncut Programme. I know they mean well. But, I'm almost sure they both don't know what's going through my mind  when that one question is asked.

I like to think I'm really good  at what I do.

In spite of being a celebrated local crime fiction author I am also a motivational writer and a pitch market seller and a semantics trainer whose alignment of work is formed around classic stories. But, more importantly, I am and have always been a very keen professional assistant teacher who gets paid for such work  nonetheless.

So, my answer to that question  is YES.

I can't wait to scale my brand up and monetize my work . And, take things to the next level.

I'm actually waiting for a few things to happen. For instance, for my publisher to put finishing touches to the long awaited FALCON mystery adventure novel and tell me what follows next.

But, I have some plans of my own which requires resurrecting some old favourites associated with the books I've written. For example,  The Myth of the SNAKE Concord and the MECHANICS of  Adventure writing masterclass dubbed M.A.W! or popularly known as the coolest workshop and now this: The Creative Writing  & Self Publishing Tester which is simply  taking place at Coombes Croft  Library on Saturday, the 28th of October 2023. It starts at 1pm and ends at 3pm.  Coombes Croft Library is situated on 4 High Road, London N17 8AG

I believe I will be co-hosting this free event with my friend and mentor.  Mr W. Livingston Gilchrist  and the Librarians there. Its going to be exciting because I'm going to be talking about a topic that is hardly discussed in the publishing business. And, that's the subterfuge effect in self-publishing. Doesn't that seem interesting? As I mentioned  its a free event and it's open to all. It's also going to be real fun.

See you there!

I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES

I  believe in miracles and I REALLY believe the SNAKE AMONGST SHADOWS mystery adventure novel which was published in 2014 is just one of them.

As I must have mentioned I live quietly in a Council flat in Tottenham which the Council insistently have been trying to refurbish for quite sometime now. Anyway, on the morning of the 27th of JULY 2023 I let two handy men into my home. They said they were hired to reconstruct some parts of the house. Specifically the bathroom area.

I remember going through the specifications of the bathroom area with them in the house when one of the men a middle aged fellow pointed a finger at me and said suddenly, 'The resemblance is striking and you bear the same name'.

'What exactly are you talking about? I asked gobsmacked. I was still trying to get my head round  what he was actually saying. And, then he asked again, 'If you don't mind, what exactly do you do?'

I must be honest I felt embarrassed. Then I said, 'I teach school.'

The middle aged man said, 'have  you written anything  because you do look like the guy who wrote a book called SNAKE.....' Before  he could complete the sentence I nodded my head and said, 'I am the guy who wrote SNAKE AMONGST SHADOWS'.

He gasped and then said, 'I thought you were. You're famous. I've been aiming to buy that book on Amazon. I was doing some research and stumbled upon it.'

I giggled.

'Is it a series novel and have you written any more books?' The question didn't throw me off balance. But, I had some explaining to do. I told him I had a new novel in the curated series called 'FALCON' coming out SOON. And, I was on the verge  of finishing the third book as well which I couldn't comment on.

'well' the middle aged guy eventually said, 'you're famous and you're humble and a complete gentleman. You need to see  the raving reviews online about your first thriller'.

The handy man whose name was Dave said he would like to buy a copy of the SAS book off me when I told him I had some copies in my possession. He came back the following morning with his colleague to continue the job they were contracted to do in my rented home. I gave Dave a signed copy of my SAS Book  I also gave him a note book in line with my merchandise pack.

I really believe in miracles and I knew this experience was just one of them. It was simply a reminder that I was not an ordinary local crime fiction author. It also reminded me that I was a self-publishing advocate and a semantics teacher with a very specific profile one should be proud of.

THE RATTLESNAKE will RETURN.
